We have never kept specific records of the best times achieved by our members per age category throughout the club’s history before, but from 1 January 2007 they will appear on this page of our website.

The leg records for the Leeds Country Way and Calderdale Way relay events have been reset after the year 2000. The lengths of some of the legs have changed quite dramatically over the years and the times achieved in the past would never be beaten.

Other notable achievements not listed elsewhere are included here. Examples include Baildon members running for Airedale Athletics or perhaps in a team relay event where a partner is not a Baildon Runner.

Runner of the Month

As from July 2009 we have introduced a new award, Runner of the Month. If you know of a member who has achieved something special during the previous month, e.g. completed their first half marathon, set a PB etc then let us know. The nominations will be announced and the committee will reach a decision. The prize, a bottle of wine, will be presented one Thursday evening after the run later in the month.

August 2009	Pete Gallagher	Glacier 3000 26K race in Gstaad, Switzerland, climbing 6,560 feet over 16 miles in 3:30:00.
Sept 2009	Melanie Bryan	Yorkshireman off road half marathon, knocking 43 mins off her previous time.
October 2009	Denise Johnson	New F50 15 mile record (Holmfirth) and 3rd F50 at Palma Half Marathon.
November 2009	Kate Taylor	1st F45 in Newcastle Marathon on 22 November, her 10th marathon this year.
December 2009	Neil Fairburn	For taking part in all the fell races in December, in spite of the snow!
January 2010	Liz Caven	New F40 age record in the Brass Monkey 1/2 marathon and knocking 4 mins off her PB.
February 2010	Sue Coates	For first F60 overall in WL series.
March 2010	Chris Burke	For M40 age category records for 10K at Keighley and BBWay Half Marathon
April 2010	Nicola Empson	Completing her first marathon at London, and raising approx £3,000 for charity.
May 2010	Bob Shimmin	New M50 age record in the Chester Marathon breaking the 3:30 'barrier'
June 2010	Andrew Travis	New M35 record for 10 miles at Otley
July 2010	Kirsty Settle	For her much improved time at the Harrogate 10K
August 2010	Sue Coates	Set a new PB at Askern 10 miles
Sept. 2010	Diana Campbell	For doing the Half Yorkshireman 16mins quicker than previously, (and so soon after Seraphin)

March 2011	Alice Buttle	Much improved performance at Bradford 10K
April 2011	Liz Bagheri	Improved her London marathon PB by 52 minutes and 39 seconds.
May 2011	Denise Johnson	Broke F50 5K record and won silver medal at European Veterans Athletics Champs Half Marathon
June 2011	Quentin Lewis	Winning Wharfedale Half Marathon, Midsummer Madness 12K and fastest ever Leg 1 time in Bradford Millennium Way Relay.
July 2011	Vets Team	Chris Burke, Steve Pickard and Steve Watkins for 1st Vets home at Golden Acre Park relays.
August 2011	Ian Ferris	For breaking 10 miles M45 record by 4 minutes 57 seconds.
Sept. 2011	John Atkinson	For breaking the M45 10 miles record again, by a further 2 minutes 21 seconds.
Oct 2011	Dave Shaw	For breaking M65 half marathon record by 10 minutes 11 seconds and then two weeks later by a further 7 minutes 13 seconds.
Nov 2011	Barbara Lee	For breaking F55 10K record by 3 minutes 13 seconds.
Dec 2011	Joel Griffin	1st U18 and only BR under 1 hour on the Auld Lang Syne 6 miles.
