The Canter is an off-road race of approximately 3.5 miles with a scenic climb over Baildon Moor to the trig point on Hope Hill and a good "lets go for it" descent to the finish.

The 2011 event took place on Saturday, 9 July 2011 at 2:15pm.

A family fun over a distance of approximately 1 mile was also held at 3:15pm.

Entries are taken on the day only.

Prizes for the Canter are awarded to 1st Man, 1st Lady, 1st Man Vet and 1st Lady Vet plus spot prizes.

Prizes for the fun run are awarded to the 1st Junior Boy and 1st Junior Girl. Medals are given to all fun runners plus spot prizes are given in both events.
