The 18th Baildon Boundary Way, generously sponsored by CarnauldMetalbox Engineering Charities Fund and Sportsshoes.com will take place on Sunday, 1 April. The event will support Bradford Samaritans (Registered Charity No. 231957) & Baildon RUFC Floodlight Appeal.

RUNNERS

All spaces for runners for the 2012 Baildon Boundary Way have now been taken. Online entries closed on 1 December 2011 and paper entries on 11 January 2012. However we are still taking entries for the non-competitive walk; see under the WALKERS heading lower down this page.

Sorry, but we do NOT operate a reserve list for runners. We have already accepted more entries than we can cope with on the day and have exceeded the official race limit. We rely on ‘no-shows’ on the day in order that we can comply with the race certificate.

We will accept swaps but this is something you must organise; we do not attempt to match people up. We must be notified of the change of details and the receiver of the race place MUST complete and sign a swap form BEFORE the race. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.

If you have arranged a swap, please email us at baildonrunners@yahoo.co.uk heading your email ‘BBWAY SWAP’ with full details. In particular we need the new runner’s full name, their postal and email addresses, their phone number, their age on race day and the name of their running club (if any). We will email a swap form for the receiver of the race place to complete.

If the new runner is not a member of a running club, but the person who applied for the space is a running club member, then an additional fee of £2 must be paid before we can accept the swap.

If the new runner is a member of a running club, but the person who applied for the space is not a running club member, we cannot refund the difference in fees, but we will treat the excess as a donation to the good causes the race is supporting this year.

WALKERS

We are still taking entries for the non-competitive walk. But please note that entering as a walker is NOT a backdoor method of gaining entry to the running race. Walkers will have a separate sequence of numbers and will be timed from the earlier start time of 8:30am (one hour before the running event).

GENERAL INFORMATION

Advice of the event going on sale was sent to everyone in our email database (more than 4,250 addresses!) on 9 November 2011. If you were expecting an email but didn't get one, please read on.

The success of our email operation each year depends on you, our potential entrants, in keeping us updated! About 5% of the emails we send each year are returned undelivered either because the email address is no longer valid, or because the mailbox is full. We try to identify new email addresses where we can and send fresh emails.

 If you have changed your email address, please let us know both your old and new addresses so that we can update our database. Click here to send us an email to notify us of the change.
 If you wish to be added to our email database for the future, please click here to send us an email. But please note that all those who enter the 2012 event, and provide a valid email address, will be automatically added to our database (if not already on it) and will be sent entry details for 2013, so you do not need to email us if this applies to you.
 Let us know if you change your email address at any time in the future.  Please consider adding baildonrunners@yahoo.co.uk to your personal address book to act as a prompt. This will also ensure that emails from us are delivered directly into your inbox and not treated as spam.
